Favourite Webcomic: Girls Next Door
I want to introduce to you one of my favourite web comics of all time.
It’s called “Girls Next Door” by Pika-la-Cynique!
It’s the well groomed, understated and witty companion to another web comic on deviatart.com, “Roommates“. It’s the story of famed and fabled characters of musicals, movies and such, thrown into a college early twenty-something situation. Our two main heroines are Sarah from Labyrinth fame, and Christine from The Phantom of the Opera (to clarify, the musical.) Both have stalkers, Sarah in the form of the imminently and indulgently smexy Jareth, The Goblin King (as portrayed by the equally indulgently smexy David Bowie) and Eric, also known as The Phantom of the Opera. Whom, by the way, are also roommates. Of course, hilarity ensues with guest appearances from several large budget movies, anime, cartoons, animations and novels.
